Strategic Sourcing PowerBI Analyst

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing is seeking a Strategic Sourcing PowerBI Analyst to join our industry leading team. This fully on-site role will provide crucial analytical support across our Supply Chain functions, including Demand Planning, Procurement, and Inventory Management. Driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, assessing risks, and making recommendations to enhance overall performance.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and implement methods to gather and manage sourcing data to develop PowerBI reports
  • Review and analyze gathered data to locate areas of improvement in the sourcing process and develop methods to improve
  • Assist is the planning and implementation of sourcing optimization projects
  • Assist in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners and vendors
  • Seek to improve all aspects of the sourcing department by reviewing current methodology and processes
  • Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods
  • Support the Strategic Sourcing team to lead and drive Purchasing process improvements through the organization
  • Drive innovation in data presentation for recognizing buying trends, tracking costs, reporting on supplier performance, and ensuring we are partnering with preferred suppliers
  • Total Cost Management: Look for areas to reduce cost, such as: trade working capital improvements, inventory reduction through better forecasting, and ensuring price reductions are captured in deflationary periods
  • Create, analyze, and maintain supplier performance metrics using PowerBI
  • Generate weekly and monthly sourcing related reports metrics and KPI’s using PowerBI
  • Function as the sourcing teams Oracle Super User
  • Assist in the management of the data and processes to support the iSupplier portal and business analytics tools
  • Provide back-up support to the Strategic Sourcing and Logistics Teams

What You Will Bring:

  • 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or purchasing support
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with ERP Systems and the ability to learn business intelligence tools
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse customer-base; good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
