Maintenance Technician III (Electrician)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Knape & Vogt is looking for a skilled Maintenance- Electrician to join our industry leading team on 3rd shift! Enjoy excellent pay and incentives at a company where your skills will be recognized and rewarded!

3rd Shift: 11:00PM-7:30AM *Starting at $32/hr. (or more based on experience) + $3 shift premium*

Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 ($1,000 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 at 6 months of employment)

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems in support of manufacturing operations
  • Perform electrical installation of a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems
  • Troubleshoot major electrical and/or mechanical problems
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Replace equipment on existing electrical systems
  • Calibrate, and repair electrical-pneumatic control systems
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician; Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician HIGHLY preferred
  • A High School Diploma or GED, completion of trade school or formal training preferred
  • Advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting: stamping presses, and plating experience preferred
  • Knowledge of advanced maintenance processes and methods, working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices and ability to read blueprints
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
