What You Will Get To Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and production, to establish quality standards and requirements during the product development phase
  • Conduct thorough design reviews to identify potential quality issues and recommend improvements
  • Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) execution and implementation - ensures proper maintenance practices
  • Develop comprehensive quality plans and strategies for product launches, outlining key milestones, testing procedures, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Stop production to prevent the manufacture of unacceptable goods
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management System
  • Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products
  • Coordinate communication between product engineering and the testing laboratory
  • Establish quality checkpoints throughout the product launch process to monitor progress and compliance
  • Participate in the development of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • Coordinate testing activities, including reliability testing, performance testing, and validation testing, to verify product quality and compliance
  • Oversee the implementation of quality control measures in manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications
  • Undertake special projects
  • Analyze quality data and feedback from product launches to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Produce written reports and make presentations on

What Will You Bring:

  • 3 years of demonstrated work experience in a manufacturing Quality department, knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

  • Bachelors Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, experience working with ERP systems, Auto CAD

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
